  • Sustained injury sufficiently serious to be entitled to at least the lowest level of the CICA Award
  • Have reported the crime to the Police and have fully co-operated with the Police in their attempts to bring the person who committed the crime to justice, and
  • Submit the application within two years of the date of the incident causing the injury accept in unusual circumstances.

It is not necessary for the assailant to have been prosecuted for compensation to be
paid.

Fatal Injuries

Compensation is available if your husband, wife, partner, parent or child has died as a result of a violent crime.

Physical and Sexual Abuse

Compensation is always available in such cases.

How Applications are made

These are made on a standard application form – get in touch with us for further details. Although public funding is no longer available for CICA claims, we can always come to an arrangement with you with regard to exactly how payment might be made, in particular through what is know as a “No Win No Fee” agreement, whereby you do not have to pay us anything at the beginning or indeed throughout the life of your claim, but only make a payment to us when we achieve compensation for you.

If you think you have a claim, please contact Paul Stevenson on 01724 843287 or by email: pstevenson@hetts.co.uk
